Sub only, shorter rounds, I also liked the system they use in the 8 man event I heard about where the more aggressive you are, or the faster you tap a guy, you get a "Buy" or whatever, but that only works if they are competing for first with multiple matches.
When it is one superfight after another, that format wouldn't work.

Metamoris sucked because you had a bunch of guys competing like it was 20 mins of IBJJF. There was no urgency, because there was still the option of taking a judges decision. The last Metamoris was way better, because there was no judges decision and the guys really wanted to win for pride/a nice stack of cash.

If they really want to push the pace they should move away from a 20 min superfight match to a 10 min 12 man Absolute bracket. Then it'll get interesting.
