    Advice please!!

So I'm competing in the NAGA tourney this sat, and it will also be my first competition in general. I am looking for any advice you guys can give me as to what I should expect, and what I can do to ensure my first experience at NAGA is a great one? Any suggestions??

    Thanks all!

All it takes is to have fun. Lost of beginning competitors take it too seriously. This isnt the world series, its your first tee-ball game. what i mean is go in expecting to simply learn about the tournament scene mainly. come in with no expectation except to have fun, dont expect to win gold, or even win at all. now that doesnt mean you shouldnt care, or not try. Last but not least; learn from this and grow as a grappler and competitor.

Scott is right. Just have fun, but do your best so you can have something to go by when training.

my friend/training partner won novice cruiser weight gi and nogi at naga san francisco. His advice is always to push the pace and relay on physicality and superior cardio. Good luck. Eat and sleep well.

I've only competed three times so far, but just remember to breathe and stay tight in your transitions. Also, we're white belts..nothing is expected of us so take advantage of it. Win or lose, you learn!
