Cade Nelson (10th planet black belt) just showed us some really good stuff from KOB last month. He plays it with a ton of success and he is like 130lbs or less. He's an awesome guy and an awesome grappler. KOB is a high finesse position. Takes alot of balance and sensitivity to be played right. Much more difficult without the gi for sure.

I'm a straight ko belly dancer. Love it. You are so much faster than them here.

I use knee on belly over side control, I like to switch between knee on belly and knee on head/neck (cruel, but v.useful, especially in fights) - opens up a lot of arm-bar opportunities, plus some top-triangle set-ups

Cyborg is a KOB killer. His nogi tornado DVD has some serious KOB gold in it.

At around the 8:30 mark Glover shows a fun triangle from KOB.

I'm with you Brent, it's a go to for me. Very comfortable up there but def. need to work more options from there as well.

Same triangle Cade Nelson showed last month. There's a whole game he uses there. Cade is Jeff Glover's landlord/roommate, they train together all day every day... I assume they share all their techs.

KoB is a staple in my side control game. I use it mostly as a way to transition to subs or better positions. My favorite setups are farside and nearside armlocks, plus the whole japanese/peruvian necktie and darce/marce. However, even better of late, is a killer kneebar I found from bottom to counter KoB. I'll have to show a video soon

I use KOB all the time. I got really into after watching the way Royler used it no-gi during some of the earlier ADCCs. He slides the shin across while he's still low; never comes up to base on the outside foot.

Belly dance is big for me, switching from side to side with the position.

As far as available submissions, I'm a big believer in the baseball bat choke from there. Spinning arm bar and Kimura work together really well. My main set up there is the arm triangle, though.
