Hi Nibiru Family, I just want to give you all an update of what I do here in Fort Lauderdale Florida. I would like to say thank you to Denny Prokopos for coming down to do seminar in my dojo. He is very detail kind of person and change my game a lot. Like Master Eddie says ‘Denny is a no-Gi encyclopedia “. My next goal is to bring Master Eddie here and then perhaps one of the Gracie’s to Fort Lauderdale to do seminar in my dojo and share their knowledge with my student and with other jiu-jitsu lover.
Outside of owning my own dojo and teaching karate and BOKWA Fitness, I also run a jiu-jitsu tournament called BEST (best extreme submission tournament). When researching the art I attended a few tournaments that were disorganized, slow and saw a lot of stalling going on by the participants rather than seeing a well executed battle. I knew I could run a much better tournament than what I experienced. BEST is a NO Gi submission only tournament. All submissions are legal. There is only one division, absolute—where Novice, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced grapple one another to see who is the BEST. NO STALLING/ NO PLAYING FOR POINTS—Winners Decided By Submissions Only. BEST tournament is not for weak hearted athletes; sometimes it’s David vs. Goliath. We want to give back to the jiu-jitsu community by providing the winner of “The BEST Of The BEST Tournament” a chance of a life time to grapple against a celebrity world-class jiu-jitsu master (local athlete vs. celebrity jiu-jitsu). We keep our registration fee as low as possible because we know that this athlete spend lots of money to practice the art.
Pre register is $20
At the door is $40
Winner gets $150, medal, championship banner, one free entry to the next BEST tournament and one spot for THE BEST OF THE BEST tournament, the winner of BEST of The Best will then face-off against a world best renown jiu-jitsu practitioner, winner gets $1000 and bragging rights. This year’s celebrity jiu-jitsu is………………..SEAN ROBERTS.
Your are all invited to participate -- invite your friends -- it's really fun. For more detail you can go to www.bestgrappling.com
Just to be clear, I don’t want to confuse anyone that I’m a 10th Planet school or teach 10th Planet, as I’m not. I do love the system and have a lot of Master Eddie’s videos and watch MTS episodes and perhaps one day I will be. If you have any suggestions or critiques, please let me know because I want to get better.
