10th Planet Southeast Camp - How Much Interest?

I'm putting together a southwest training camp. Shooting for Jan -Feb. here in Phoenix.

I want to host a low-cost training camp for all the 10th Planet folks from the Southeastern U.S. I wanna keep the cost super-affordable ($50 or less)so that a ton of people attend, so I'm thinking of using only local instructors.

So, if you don't mind answering some questions for me:



1. 3 days or 2 days?

2. Are you more likely to attend if it's in Decatur, Montgomery, or Gulf Shores (all of these are in Alabama)?

3. Should we have a tournament?

4. What instructors would you like to see there? I'm thinking Sean Applegate (Gulf Shores), Brandon Mccaghren (Decatur), and Bobby Rivers (Mobile Hotbox. He's not an official instructor, but trust me when I say we want him there).

5. What else would you like to see at the camp?

6. I'm also thinking of having a special "instructors only" session each evening where we toss around business ideas and strategies in order to help each other with our academies.

7. I already have someone in place to have sports psychology session for competitors. He's a professional counselor and one of our Blue Belts (Lonnie Jones). Is this something you guys would be interested in?

My goal isn't one good camp; my goal is southern domination.

Boulder will bring at least 3 if the dates do not interfere with college schedules!!! Me and my roomie Scott Broome are from Birmingham and will stay there and drive daily so Gulf shores is a bit of a drive(4.5hrs) Decatur and Montgomery are under 2 hrs so thatd be preferred.

2 days, decatur, tournament , excellent choices for the instructors, Bobby vs Brandon in a pool of lime Jello, doesnt effect me, Yes, Yes, Yes!

Ok just to throw this out there (*cough cough Bobby*) we're moving to a new facility in exactly one month with AC and a shower or two as well. I personally like the Friday night then full Saturday and Sunday idea. That way I only take a few hours and only one full day off from work. I would also like to meet as many of y'all as possible!!

Then Im so down with either. I damn near had a heat stroke at the seminar. The way I sweat I turn the mat to a slipn' slide then a swimming pool. Then I cramp till I pass out. Great facilities. Im just fragile.

I understand the heat factor. This will be in October and we will also be in our new facility. Heat won't be an issue. We also have the most space. I'm down for wherever everyone wants to go.

If I fly from Fort Lauderdale to either Decatur or Golf shore which airport I go to? and how far from the airport?

In respect to Decatur - Huntsville is the closest (20 minutes). But Nashville is 2 hours away and Birmingham is 1.5 so either of those would work and they are bigger.

Not sure about Gulf Shores (they are at the dookie end of the state).

Closest to gulf shores...would be Pensacola, fl

By dookie you mean only beautiful part I assume The rest of the state makes us look bad. Buncha a fukn hicks. Down here we just startle gators, cast shrimp nets, and.. yeah. goats.
