Interesting. Even funnier is that Shonie Carter came out of the shitter with one of his crazy hats on around the six min mark. I dont have much too say other than being from a Carlson school in Chicago the interviewer cleary has reservation about us. I deal with it everyday around here. I dont always train in the GI but when I do it is only with JJ Machado

I thought Danaher's best comment in regards to the no-gi/gi issue was right on the mark: fighters are not really interested in the cultural conventions [such as wearing a gi], they are just interested in what will work (that's my summary, not even close to an exact quote).Last edited by scottross; 08-31-2013 at 11:23 AM.

Mr. Danaher seems super intelligent. Brandon, yes, the interviewer tried to lead John to certain responses, but Danaher was a lil too smart for it. Interviewer didn't get the sort of responses he was looking for, and he actually surprised me a bit when he mentioned he actually trained. He posed questions like, "So is this it for Bjj?
