Awesome day today. 10th Planet Decatur and 10th Planet Gulf Shores show up in droves and take the team title.

Tons of video footage. Lots of medals. Here's a few highlights (I'll let Sean post about his own guys; they looked great, too):

- Sam Davis - 1st Place in Advanced Absolute
- Manny Rocha - 1st Place in Teen Intermediate
- Clint Bender - 1st Place in Intermediate 205lbs
- Chris Burchell - 2nd in Intermediate 185lbs; 2nd in Blue Belt (Gi)
- Greyson Holmes - 2nd in Teen Intermediate
- Joe Stanford - 2nd in Adult Intermediate 170 lbs
- Seth Hill - 1st in Kids Beginner No Gi and 1st in Kids Beginner Gi

Sam Davis vs Chase Gatlin from 10th Planet Gulf Shores. I think Chase beat everyone else he faced throughout the day. His guard is deadly, so we just tried to keep Sam away from the closed guard at all costs.

Joe Stanford. Men's Intermediate. 170lbs. Match #1. Joe was unusually passive today. Turns out he was puking his guts out before the matches started, so it made sense after we found that out.

Joe's opponent here is deaf, and you can see Joe showing concern that he couldn't verbally tap at one point and releasing a very tight arm bar.

I will post some footage and pics just as soon as I can get home and put them on the Mac!! I had such a good time today and I hope all of us in AL can fight as a team more often. It felt..homey almost, to have so many of us. :-)

Beowulf in Intermediate No Gi. He took 2nd. Beowulf doesn't compete much so he is stepping outside his comfort zone here. I'm super proud of him.

Yeah, it was great. I liked being there with everyone. It was great!
