Here are all of the videos that i have recorded from the sub only competition in Indy today! It was great to see so many 10th Planet guys there! It was really nice to meet a lot of you!


That's my friend and teammate Luke Kincaid in one of his matches in the kids division! He is only 14 but he has gotten really tough really quickly!

This was my first match in the intermediate nogi division! First time that i have ever put someone to sleep, it was a really scary and surreal feeling.

This was my match for second place in the blue belt gi division! I actually had my "logeoplata" move locked up on this guy but he defended well and escaped, eventually submitting me with a gi choke. I know that move has some doubters on this forum and i am sure this will only add fuel to their fires but i still believe that it has potential!

Here my friend and teammate Nick Kroegher takes on a beastly brown belt in the advanced nogi division (Nick is a fresh purple). I can't recall the brown belts name but i believe he is affiliated with 10th Planet somehow and posts here occasionally.

Here Nick catches a guy with a nasty leg lock that kind of reminds me of Charles Oliviera's calf slicer in the UFC.

Here my teammates Nick K and Bradley Maddox compete for first place in the purple belt gi division.

We all had a blast at this very well organized and well ran event! I can't wait until the next one!

Also i am very open to and appreciative of any comments, critiques, or criticisms of any of mine or my teammates matches!

Attacking is great but not if its from bad positioning, I would suggest spending alittle more time getting into a better position and holding before attacking with a submission. I think you'll find your finishing rate will be much higher.

Major props for getting out there and competing; definitely no hate because you missed a choke. At least it shows us you were showing something you do

Awesome, as you refine your game, I'm sure you'll be a very exciting grappler! I would think of it in terms of "the more control I have of him, the closer I am to a sub". Maybe that would help. But I'm all about a sub focus
