Thanks you all for the positive feedback. There are many more ways to get to this position and then plenty of submissions to choose from. I don't wanna spoil the surprise but it is amazing how "reverse spider web" and rubber guard go hand in hand.

Nice work guys, it seems to have a lot of potential. Here's some questions:

    1. What prevents your opponent from rolling out of this with a front somersault?
    2. Do you know how to pull of a bicep slicer here? I think there is one. If for some reason you can't get the arm around the far leg (leg closest to his butt), so the arm gets stuck in between your legs but bent (his wrist is at his ribs, his elbow pointing out to the crotch), there is a bicep slicer. We played with going from a guard kimura to that bicep slicer for a while - Shigecki was the guy who introduced that but I can't remember exactly how it worked.
    3. I'm wondering if the top leg might not offer better control if you were leg curling the head with it?
    4. Have you played with a North/South entry? I have been playing with squeezing my opponents head in between my leg on the bottom of a North/South. They aren't going to tap but a constant pressure gets them to try to push my thigh down. That's an opportunity to grab the kimura grip. You already have the top leg (closest to the head) in place for a leg curl. You would have to swivel your other leg under their body and over their back and then you are in place. I think.

Scott, Thank you for your feedback and questions, we are going to try to cover all these questions in the 2nd video, but just to give you an idea

1, The front somersault is the natural inclination for an escape from the position but actually when you try to do it, if the person has a good kimura grip and leg curls they can just hold on for the ride and either end up in a better position or end up right back in Reverse Spiderweb,

2, Yes the Bicep Slicer is one of the subs from here.

3, There are deff a variety of ways to control using the leg curls, but I find that Its important to mimic the spiderweb pressure of curling legs and pinching knees. this locks the shoulder you are attacking which might have more room if your legs are open. Sometimes you want there to feel like there is room there to bait the triangle which we will show in the next one.

4, N/S is a great entry to this spot and its almost unstoppable.

I find myself there a bunch.I have been using that grip from every angle possible my whole wrestling/jiu jitsu career. My dad showed it to me when I was in Jr high wrestling. Tons of game from there. Love the parallels in this game. Keep them coming, love this shit!

Anxious to see where this goes. Really cool. Anything Orchard does, I'm gonna pay attention to.

Also, I think you guys did a great job with the video itself. The angles were great and the production made it really easy to watch. Looking forward to more.

This is the textbook way a vid or concept should be presented. Nathan has been here for years. He's hungout, trained hard, wrecked tournies, and shared his results all during his path that has led him to brown belt, for the present. Then the vid was a series to obtain and understand an extremely dominant position of control. A deadzone. Well done. I end up here as well but never actually sought it out. This will help. Thanx.
Thank you for the props man. I have been wanting to get out to your part of the country for a really long time. So many legit dudes out that way.

Great questions. Phill answered them well. If some one is powerful enough to roll, just go with it. This position works the way we showed or belly down. I was leg curling the head for a little while but it actually didn't work as well for me. People would reach up with their free hand and try to peel the leg off. Bicep slicer= yes. I have been working on this little series for quite a while now. I have used it against a lot of monsters and it has worked well. There is always the crazy strong guy that is kinda hard to get ahold of in the first place but there is an exception to everything

Again thanks for the kind words. Having guys like you at all interested in what we have going out west is a huge honor.
