Again... Work the god father with your legs. If he doesn't shift his weight enough to move one of his arms he's either gonna get swept or lose a knee joint. I get big guys trying to lay on me all the time this gets me out of a stall everytime. It might just be back to full guard but atleast it's something.

really should try training with someone thats your size as a whitebelt atleast if you are giving it your all. makes getting techniques in alot easier, and then they work alot better when you do battle someone alot bigger. but if he has all his weight on one side off you, let the lockdown go and roll him over, if he was just keeping your arms pinned with his hand and pure power its worse. but betting to your side shouldnt be impossible. and then its easier getting a butterfly

the lockdown is also what is pinning you down if you ain't whipping up and getting to your side. all you're doing is stalling out and your opponent will wear you down. use your legs to work to butterfly. hip out. if your arms are pinned, what is he doing? hugging you? lockdown isn't the answer to every situation. in fact, if you use it wrong, you're just locking yourself in a shitty position on bottom.

and Erwann the lockdown was the only thing i could do to stop him getting side control, when he had the side he just locked his arms around my neck and shoulders too tight for me to move, whenever i would try circle and catch his legs he would just go the other way, then i would catch him and the only way to stop him getting back to the side was to hold him in lockdown. he was stalling cos he didnt know what to do from any positions.
