10th Planet Richmond Kicking Ass, Taking Names

This past Saturday, Sept. 7th, 2013, 10th Planet Richmond/AFS Academy rolled into the Bluegrass Brawl 9 at Heritage Hall/Rupp Arena Lexington, Ky and made our presence known. The event started with youth grappling in the cage. They let the kids have a "match" with just grappling rules. 2 out of our 3 kids won. The kid who lost was outweighed by 35lbs and the kid had 3 years on him. In kid years, that's huge.

Our next fighter, Dustin Short, knocked his opponent out in 20 seconds. He has lead fists. Not real pretty or technical, but he can bang. He was knocking dudes out at 170 and has dropped to 145.

Lastly, we have Adam "Fancy Pants" Fritz winning the 135lb title. He fought a tough, slick wrestler who powered out of several submissions, but Adam dominated the fight with excellent striking and dominated and controlled from rubberguard most of the time winning the unanimous decision. Should be no surprise that he's one of Jessamyn Duke's main training partners.
