2 weeks ago, Cora went to the beach in Galveston, Tx with my whole family except me. I didn't go. When they got back, Cora and Kato got sick with fever. We knocked down the fever and was on the mat drilling when Cora told me that her back feels like its burning. I thought it was just sun burn so I dismissed it. Her fever comes and go, last sat she competed with that condition and did OK as you can see by her videos. Then on Thursday of this week, she starts having back pain. On Friday I took her to the Dr and she said it might be just the flu. She got some antibiotic also for it. We also took xray which shows no fracture. Her pain is not that of injury, its more of infection/ viral or something. We will find out what it is on Monday when she go in to do lab work. We didn't plan on competing, but then mid week, Future Fighterz contact me about sponsoring Cora in AGF so we agreed. We were hoping she might be a lot better with the antibiotics and pain killers. So I told Cora we will go, get loosen up, and if she feels she can't do it, she don't have to. So for the 1st match, she tried and I can see the pain on her face as she try to finish up the boy but the pain was so bad that she can't finish it and by mid way through the match, she just want to end it. She just didn't have her back to finish the fight. I pulled her out of the competition after that.

That wasn't a loss in my eyes, that was another example of a flawed scoring system. Near subs like cinched in triangles should be worth way more points than a pass or sweep. A near sub should be 7 points, sweeps 2, passes 3, mount 4, back 4.

    Cora 14 other dude 5

Cora's guard is getting stronger, you can see it in her execution

Shit man, get her tested for Staph. Sometimes Staph is internal and attacks the body in a serious way, and never shows on the outside. I know a wrestler who had a serious staph infection and he didn't know it until it was almost too late. The staph had eaten away a whole area inside his body in around his hip or something. Lucky they ran a blood test and figured it out, but he had serious damage and has been on the mend for over a year now. It took him a year to get back in the ring.

Staph should always be tested for with people who are rolling on mats. It's not always an open sore on the skin. It could be attacking her spine or whatever.

Sounds a LOT like staph. I had it in my knee joint for 2 weeks and 1 general practitioner and a big city ER completely missed it. 104* fever, swelling, hot to the touch, whole body ached. Worst days of my life, bar none. They thought it was fluid on the knee (with a fever? SMH) and sent me to a knee specialist. He looked at it, said no friggin' way and called his friend, the bloodborne pathogen specialist for that city. She saw me on the spot and started an IV on me in her office. Temperature went down 4* in 30min and had to keep the IV in for 10 days. The rest of the details I'll spare you but DO have them test for that, brother!!!

We just got out of Ben Taub Hospital. No its not staph infection. She doesn't have any of those symptoms that you had Matt. Right now, she really don't have any other symptoms at all, just that pain. Dr don't really know what could be the cause. I've also done my own research also with my chiropractic friends and we all are just as puzzled. I've ran a few test myself to rule out Meningitis also just in case. The only symptom is pain at the slightest touch of her back without even applying pressure. So they say might be just back spasm. We going to ride it out at the moment, no Jiu Jitsu what so ever until this is taken care of. Guess we going to be watching a lot of MTS until then..

Thank you Master Eddie. I hope it pass quickly also. We have to start training for Naga in Dec and Kids Pan Am in Feb. This time our goal is not just to win, but to invade Kids Pan AM with signature 10thplanet techniques. This time we will have a full year of 10thplanet training, we will make a statement... And of course, our yearly visit to HQ to see you.
