ADCC without Marcelo ?

In reality he declined because he wanted to focus on his growing academy, aside from a few projects he has considered himself all but retired.

IF Metamoris is still alive and kicking (this postponement seems fishy), I can't imagine Marcelo wouldn't be a part of one in the future. I mean, who wouldn't want to see Marcelo in a submission only match against another high level competitor? Rafa Mendes, perhaps?

Unofficially yeah. it sucks. He has twins on the way and wants to focus on his academy. Although recently he did say that fans haven't seen the last of him. In the past 5 ADCCs over ten years out of the 27 matches he's won he has 24 submissions. He's the best man. If and when he comes back I'm sure he'll do awesome as always.

Marcelo vs. Rafa will never happen. I wish it would, but it just won't. Gi or no-gi that's pretty much everyones dream matchup right now.
