Mitch is a beast and he's here to stay. Humble, fun guy, great jiu jitsu, great standup, awesome wrestling. He is big, but everyone is big in that division. I know he wants that belt and a buddy of mine whos about 170 bumped into Renan Barao that weekend and they were the same size so Mitch is pretty much on par with the top dogs in the division in regards to size :P

Disgusting, its mma not pro weight cutting. Hopefully one day we will be rid of this element. Def a fan, you cant blame guys for taking advantage of the rules. Same as playing for points in sport jj.

As of now we might not be looking at the best guys in each division but the best guys that also make massive cuts.

Mitch cuts about 15-18 pounds. Nothing out of the ordinary. I personally am against weight cuts because to me it reeks of sandbagging, but it seems it's an industry standard, so if everyone is doing it at least you know what you're getting into.
Until they make same day weigh in's, the trend will continue.

Besides, Mitch would fuck up a lot of guys regardless of weight.

Regardless of what Mitch Gagnon, or any fighter, does ,as far as weight cutting, Im a fan. Its within the rules and nearly every single fighter does it. I dont think Mitch Gagnon needs a white knight on this issue guys.

If they made same day weigh-ins, fighters would still cut weight (look at BJJ tournaments). You would just have the added danger of fighters fighting while dehydrated (I imagine that can't be good for your brain!).
