We've been working the baratoplata from all positions and finding tons of ways to work it into the game. It's a PERFECT compliment and addition to our system. The baratoplata is a serious legit technique that Rafael Freitas developed and has hit numerous times in high level BJJ, no-gi and even MMA. This is one option that is NOT on Rafaels dvds. Eddie loved it and approved...enjoy.

This is a great move. Duda's can be difficult to finish on low weight classes, especially if they have a high pain tolerance. The baratoplata is a shoulder lock, and that works no matter what bodytype or how tough they are. Me likey!

I know in reality TUF is over, but we are all supporting you Jess! I'm sure it was an experience and opportunity of a lifetime! Training with all those legends of women's mma, and also making a name for yourself. No matter what happens on TUF, I'm sure you have a bright future in the sport!

Very Cool technique and transition! I'm gunna play with this, I use the Duda game alot and this will work right in with the 2 on 1 guard I've been spending alot of time on.
