I just got my Purple Belt

Well last week, actually, but with my first professional grappling match right around the corner I didn't want to celebrate too early. However, I won my Professional Grappling League debut last night with a 2nd Round Triangle from Crackhead, so now we can celebrate

HUGE HUGE thanks to Ryan for giving me the best two weeks of training I've had in a long time. And not just on the mats, but off it as well. He really showed me how important mental training is for jiu jitsu. Theorizing about life and goals and competition, always striving for good energy and positive emotions, I definitely have evolved in just the short time that he was here. I cannot wait to be back in Vista!

And of course, tremendous thanks to 10th Planet Bethlehem's Zach Maslany and JM Holland. I was so nervous leaving Vista and going back to the East Coast. I had no idea where I would find a place that could provide the same atmosphere and level of training. Luckily, I already had a sick family waiting for me, and boy are these guys savages. Thank you for pushing me and helping me progress in this amazing sport. Wouldn't be here without 10th Planet B-Town.
