Sounds like he was wearing a Thai boxing STEEL cup.
They protrude outward, and you can really feel them when people push their hips into you. Rather awkward, to say the least.
And they can also be used as a weapon, the steel make you feel indestructible. haha

He had me in a body triangle from the back and then he squeezed. Where the cup was on my back created a pressure point so the ribs just cracked. They were lower floating ribs. Everyone rolling heard them break

I had my feelings hurt once
All my grappling injuries are of the annoying type: dislocated a rib, mcl tear from a heal hook, dislocated fingers and toes, mild concusion from getting dropped on my head, left shoulder dislocated, choked so hard that my throat swelled to the point that even drinking water hurt, and a laundry list of others. As the saying goes: "what hurts most, teaches best"

Dislocated my elbow about a year and half ago. Out for almost 4 months and still have limited range of motion, plus something is sticking out now that didn't used to.

I even knew better than to post on a throw, oh well.
