Coolness! I'm a buck-fifty but regular roll w opponents 250, 280, 300 or whatever. My game plan is the same. Capitalize on mistakes and don't try to fight strength for strength. It may take a while to get to this level, but it takes a willingness to get smashed early on in your career.

I play an aggressive game..always preparing for competition. I'm looking for control and pressure, clenching as much as possible. If not I'm staying tight until I can capitalize on your mistakes or I get tapped. I'm 120lbs. Whatever. I like top and bottom game, I've been working both a lot despite being small, I still love the top game. I'm also flexible, I've been taught to not force things, but to be accepting and move accordingly. Also, I'm fast and I like to play fast. I strive to be tough in all my rolls and make it a point to give 100% to all my teammates.

You see that way, everyone is concerned with my aggression and Jiu Jitsu...and not concerned with the fact that I'm female. :-) That's how I roll!!

I no longer concern myself with tapping people out, sweeping, escaping, or "winning". I roll to roll, I focus on being in the moment and enjoying the experience. It doesn't mean those things don't happen, I just don't force them. If it happens it happens ,most of the time it does and it usually goes my way. My main goal at this point is to enjoy the journey.

Yea I like that. As long as you keep rolling you are always learning and your focus always changes anyway. The journey will only move you forward and teach you.

I am a pretty large guy I guess (well a little larger than average in the UK, atm around 93-95kg/205-210lbs) and my aim when I roll is to never use my strength, and try to rely just on my technique as much as possible. I never want to come away from a roll leaving a guy thinking I muscled my way out of everything. Also I want every person I roll with to enjoy the experience. I am very much an advocate of the whole 'keep it playful' mindset in the training room (competition classes excluded).

I really just like to Zen out and be playful. At this point for me, the greatest compliment I can get is to be told that I gave someone a fun, challenging roll. I jokingly call my personal style "combat cuddling"
