I believe the question when we signed up asked what our 10th planet JJ rank is, not our BJJ or karate or other belt ranking. Hence my white belt because I haven't had the privilege of ranking in the 10th planet system.

Not in my mind. To me 10th Planet is completely different and thus I think starting at the bottom is important. It'd undoubtedly be easier to earn rank in 10th Planet JJ if you are already skilled in traditional BJJ, but still, I don't think purple in BJJ should equal purple in 10thPJJ. Just my personal view.

Eddie's position has been that your rank in BJJ is equivalent in 10PJJ except for black belt; then you're a brown belt in 10PJJ.

The way you look at it is very common in most other styles. If I were to go to a different judo instructor I'd have to start right back at the bottom. Each instructor's standards so that way of thinking makes sense.
Putting the gi back on for bjj I'm right back to being a white belt.

no offense bro, but its not up too to say what crossovers and what doesn't, Eddie has established that BJJ ranks crossover up to brown belt. I haven't ever really heard backlash from that either, I don't see the confusion.
if lost is a d-bag purple belt in BJJ and he joins a 10th planet gym and shows loyolty and establishes himself with a qualified 10th planet instructor, than he is also a d-bag 10pjj purple belt.

I'm not disputing anything at all, or disagreeing with the rules Eddie has set, obviously that's up to him 100%, I'm just saying that for me, PERSONALLY, I wouldn't consider myself a purple belt in 10thPJJ if I held one in traditional BJJ. Please don't misinterpret my intentions.

As far as lost is concerned, I question whether he has any interest in jiu jitsu at all, since I've yet to see a single post by him that actually has to do with jits.
