    Use that space to escape.
I start here, also use my free hand to grab the wrist of my trapped arm to get some added power as I push into their shoulder, then shoot my trapped arm/hand/elbow straight up between both of our heads as I turn into them. If I can't create space I go to Osiander's escape as quickly as possible. Can't waste any time against someone with a pro squeeze things will start to go b.... l... a..

just be careful with answering the phone, there is a really sneaky, really nasty one-armed americana available as a re-counter. Best advice, as with most thing: don't get caught there.

A 3rd option is if you get caught but they don't have it cinched in you can do the "Answering the Phone" defense, where you basically grab your ear with the arm that's trapped. That locks the arm so the shoulder can't be used 100% against you past a certain range of motion. Good luck and experiment with all.
LOL Matt we think alike bro...LOL I have a collection of escapes from different submissions. I'm really big on escapes and defense that is why Cora hasn't tap out in tournament this whole year, except one time when a boy crush her face when he can't get the RNC on her.

Don't allow yourself to get put there. Haha that's about it. You can hope that the guys arm triangle sucks. Seriously though, you need to be escaping way before they get to your side. Any good arm triangle player will be choking you way before they get to your side.
