What kind of yoga is best for jiu jitsu

I am having some difficulty increasing my flexibility with just stretching so im going to get back into yoga. What form of yoga do you all think is the best for training jiu jitsu. Which would be the best as a warm up routine what would be good for recovery. When do you prefer doing yoga before training, right after training or the days in between. What are some good books/dvds on the topic. Are there any routines you could do every single day and what would be the best time to do them. Anything you all could add to this would be greatly appreciated.

Check out Ginastica Natural by Alvaro Romano. I know a lot of high level jiu jitsu guys use that as a full body stretch/warmup/fitness routine. There is also a program called Yoga For Fighters, but I can't remember who put it together.

Ashtanga - there's lots of free lessons on YouTube but you can't beat a teacher.

Ok I searched for videos with some of my fave stretches..didn't seem to find any. But! I did find this picture..this is my all time fave stretch. Normally though. I will start with one leg up & push my hips in and then I go to this stretch, if you get what I'm saying.

In this pic they show the lady's forearms on the ground. That is good, but I like to put both hands on the knee that's on the ground and push my hips & lower back forward while pushing your upper back towards your back leg & look up, & then I also like to lay all the way flat forward and push my hips in. It's the best stretch!!

    It's the second picture down.

I think most people would say Ginastica right now because Brazilians do it? (i think it is just Portuguese for gymnastic?) Hatha and Bikram seem to be the most widespread, Denny does Kundalini which is related to Hatha but has a lot of breathing and focuses a lot on "energy" like chi.

I'd learn at a class though if you can.

This is a link to some stretching stuff I posted in May. It has really helped me. I am very close to double lotus now, because of the sequence in the videos. I also use the stretch that Tori shared.

The kind where you consistently stick with it. You don't need a dedicated yoga class, you just need to be dedicated and disciplined to stick to it. Just don't push yourself so hard you injure yourself.
