I like owning guns, guns are cool and fun to shoot, I enjoy hunting, in fact the geese are back now in my area. Numbers dont lie, handguns are tools for killing humans and they do MUCH more efficiently and easily than other weapons. If you take a class in statistics and learn how to interpret statistical data, it is undeniable that Americans pay for the right to own handguns with the deaths of innocent people, sometimes guns saves lives, usually those lives are under threat from someone WITH A GUN. More of us die than are saved by handguns. If you consider that we allow our cops to carry handguns and all the people they unjustly murder, then the situation is even more depressing.

I want to have badass handguns and high capacity automatics, I trust that you guys are the types I feel just fine with having them, most people are UNBELIEVABLY STUPID!! Human intelligence is not a bell curve.

Peel the onion when you look at statics and it impossible to deny that although the transition maybe difficult and is obviously long term, the US must eventfully join the civilized world in controlling tools that place unbelievable killing power in the hands of who ever picks it up.

I grew up around guns and even joined the NRA in fifth grade, I enjoy shooting the most badass guns i can get access to, I simply know that the average person is indescribably devoid of intelligence and i dont want them getting access to these killing tools. Fucking 80% of Americans or something believe an invisible guy made us from mud!! Should they be able to have a gun?

The handguns that do the most killing are illegal. I don't need a class to interpret stats to understand that stat. And the highest gun crime is in highly restrictive states and cities. Gun control is doing nothing about Chicago's gun violence. And yet, in areas with high gun ownership, gun crime is extremely low. Go figure.

The "illegal handguns" exist in such high numbers because they are so easy to obtain legally, that's why other countries dont have just as many people being killed with illegal guns.

Areas with high registered gun ownership are typically rural so for other factors have lower overall crime rates, nothing to do with the number of registered guns.

It is extremely well documented that guns in Chicago come from nearby ares with more lax gun control or less often are stolen from legal owners.

Here where i live, people know to be secretive about what cool guns you have because they make your house a target for break-ins.

Just want to say, im a fan of your post in general, i think you are obviously a smart guy and I dont think a bit less of you for having a different opinion on this. This subject is too often kept from progress because it stirs deep emotions for so many Americans.

Stats show that violent guncrimes happen more in areas with harsher gun control laws. Crimials don';t follow laws, and when they know teh public at large is unarmed, it's a free for all.

States that encourage open or concealed carry have lower gun crime rates. There is no arguement.
