    Good combo??

So Cora and I been trying to work on some of the techniques that will help her go against bigger and stronger boys in the up coming submission only tournament. Most kids at the high level will know how to defend or prevent the regular armbar and triangle. So here is what we been playing with, not sure if any of yall out there are already hitting this.

    1) We find that in the GI, when Cora get someone in an armbar or even spiderweb, they would grab their lapel trying to prevent her from pealing out their arm and its even super hard when they are stronger and bigger boys. Even with the Silverado is still a struggle. So now while get them in spiderweb, she would loosen up her deep hook of the trapped arm and allow them to roll into her while keeping the leg curls, she then hook the out side arm instead and hit the Baratoplata. So the combo is Spiderweb to Baratoplata.

    2) Known for her triangle, all the kids kind of know that its coming. So now Cora would fake a two on one arm drag, get a hook in the arm that she wants to attack, while pushing on the wrist with her other arm (like a pop triangle set up). Same time leg curls and finish off the Baratoplata.

I like it, just experimenting, what yall think?

What about the douchebag? Douchebag makes people let go of labels quickly, and she doesn't risk losing Spiderweb.

I thought about that, believe me we did. But we realize that wouldn't be a nice thing to do. These are kids....LOL and besides, Cora doesn't always have the cleanest feet...so no douchebagging kids...LOL

    Mr Sek,

Pertaining to (1), do you guys look for the triangle when they hold their collar? Far leg threads through between the opponent's arms and the triangle is there if they sit up.

Tony: you know Cora is all about the Triangle. We are merely trying to work on other options. Trying to get other options to be as proficient as her Triangles.. You know, adding new weapons to her arsenals.

As much as I like the barata plata, it's a niche move/position and I would try and focus attention spiderweb (deadzone) maybe on grip breaks, there's alot of great attacks also from spiderweb besides the ones mentioned.
