We had a guy driving up to St. Paul from Iowa to train with us every Saturday.

Shane I currently live in Ames, Iowa. But during the summer I will be training at Precision Combat Training in Des Moines in the summer because I will be on break from ISU. I am a 10th planet jj enthusiast and have been drilling the moves from mastering the rubber guard for some time. I have a decent understanding of the basic path of the rubber guard and the lockdown is one of my go to moves... I'm pretty bad at twister side control. Anyways it would be awesome to have someone to practice some 10th planet with and I'd be more than willing to commute to Des Moines on Saturday's if your down. Open mats at precision combat training start at 11:00 a.m. While they aren't affiliated with 10th planet in any way the coaches (Doug and Jarred) are very open minded and did a great job of teaching me the basics of 10th planet... If your interested in finding some legit rolling partners please message me back. I am a huge 10th planet fan and its cool as hell to know that other people in the Des Moines area are interested in it as well.

Also Shane I am just curious as to where you train at in Des Moines? I would be more than willing to make a trip up to St. Paul or Omaha to train with you guys if I had someone else to go with me. Tim do you know the guys name who trains with you on Saturdays? Sorry I'm not trying to be annoying, its just that I am obsessed with 10th planet jj an I am interested in receiving the best training possible...

Sounds good bro, I don't train anywhere though. I have been wanting to pick it up but would rather do no gi than the traditional bjj. I also have Mastering the rubber guard DVD & have a little back ground in bjj from Des Moines jiu jitsu Academy. I wasn't there long though. I have been itching to pick this back up. I would love to go to Omaha once in a while to pick it up on Saturday.My lady might not like that but I am sure I can work that out.As for precision combat training I am down for it e-mail me your # & of course I am a huge 10th Planet Fan too. Going to Omaha is a deffinate in the future.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like Omaha would be the better option since it is 2 hours closer. Hopefully someone gets down to IA sometime & opens up one for us,
