Fallen in love with the Leg Knot

Originally I put way more focus into the 5050 because the position is legal in all tournaments and unfortunately the knee reap is illegal in most. I just really like the complete control the Leg Knot has. Basically youre able to attack 100% without being attacked in return. Where as 5050 is basically just that. Your opponent has just as many attacks as you.
    Anybody play this position?

I use the Russian not series extensively and first saw it in private lessons, the best of which was given by Bodycomb. Shortly after that, I saw a slightly different flare on in from Zog in a seminar. My knot game is based on those. You can find both of this instructors on YouTube and I haven't seen anything I liked as much from anyone else.

I've been drilling this a lot. Like Brian said, coach Zog and Reilly Bodycomb. Scott Sonnon's mastering the saddle is also on leg control, but I haven't studied it enough to give an informed opinion.

Hell yeah, I love the knee knot. Sometimes I get the tap for. Just straightening my legs and torquing the hip.

You can heel hook, Achilles, straight ankle, foot flex. And just chill. So much control. Reaping knees forever bruh. Lol. Knee knot is money.

Best instructional is zogs homie. Free on YouTube. Learned it, hit it same day and I still hit it a year later.

I believe the knot is the best and most secure leg locking position. Top notch Dead Zone for sure. Everyone has already told you who to study (bodycomb and zog, everyone else is blah) but im gonna try and help you on how to study. Just like all the dead zones, rep getting there and maintaining the position. Sometimes you can tap him from the pre-knot positions, but do not! Work all the way into the knot and hold it. This helped me alot and is what helped the Barncat have such nasty leg control. Also he's just a natural born killer.

I agree with this big time. Getting those reps in all the way to the knot is really helpful. Nice thing is, sometimes guys will get so distracted by defending the knot that they'll forget that their leg is in immediate danger and you can snatch a quick sub. But ideally, it's always better to get all the way to the knot cuz you can just sit there and pick and choose what you want. The basic leg lock series is probably the series that has saved my ass the most after coming back from a long layoff.
