We been working hard everyday to get Cora ready for this submission only tournament in Jan. There has been some improvement. But it seems like no matter the amount of drilling we do, the amount of weight/force/strength is still making her forget what we just worked on. When getting smashed, it seems like all techniques went out the window. Is this common? We been working specifically for the bigger boys.. side control escape/ guard recovery (C cup), deep half to get out of mount, and granby roll. And of course, defense...defense.. and more defense. When she can remember to use them, it work, but when smashed on heavily, all that seems to go out the window. Also we find that its hard to do the super shrimp as her knee is hitting their thigh instead of the hip. Is there any other way to place her knee so that she can catch the hip when they turn? BTW Happy Thanksgiving to all my 10thplanet family..

Reason why I brought this up is because I'm not sure if she is absorbing what we are working on since there isn't any high level kid her size to practice on, except for this boy.
