Kinda feeling conflicted came home today with 2nd place medal by default my guy left before my match so i got a bi into the finals in a 4 man bracket and lost 4-0 guy got take down right to side control. I regained lockdown from here the guy stalled out on top for 5 mins going for various arm locks and head arm triangles but never trying to leave my lockdown. Guy was huge named brandon copeland out of brasa in toledo, ohio i think. I did however secure points today to take the year end points championship which i will receive a championship belt at the next show in March. I'm disappointed i couldnt get anything on him or get a sweep i got a deep clinch on his posting leg but i just wasnt strong enough to roll my hips over to get to electric chair. This is the 3rd time i have been bumped to advanced and had to grapple purple belts and only been beaten by points usually a takedown and a pass. Very frustrating but seeing I am only a white belt I try to find a positive in this. One of my guys ended up winning pan ams in NY in his division and absolute by submissions. I need to work on my sprawl game and also be more offensive so i'm not constantly working defense. Just thought i would share my days results. 10P4L!

Oh i had a great time and was fun I just wish they would of ran a true 3rd place were me and the other guy grappled off to determine real 2nd and 3rd place. Just felt a lil cheap of me to beat no one and get 2nd. Like i said i feel i must be doing something right to keep getting bumped into these purple belts and losing by a small point leading and not getting subbed
