Those two guys would have a boring match at anything. Athletes bring excitement. Those were casual practitioners. Gi wasn't the problem.

Those announcers obviously had no idea about the concept of the guard being used offensively.

I think those two would look just as bad and just as boring if they were no-Gi as well. That looked like a semi-scripted sparring session. Not a single strike was thrown with conviction.

Super entertaining. Maybe NASCAR will start having school bus races...would make about as much sense.

I agree, once u lose the grip they're free to punch u the same so a clinch would've been better regardless.
