You spend a lot of your time on the forum hating this guy Sam. That passion could be aimed toward a more positive objective.

Oh fuck off Bobby. If mentioning Lloyd once 2 months ago then the time before was 6 weeks before that is 'a lot of time on the forum hating on the guy' you need to get a fucking grip.
The reason people like me go on about it is because there are so many weak minded pussies out there still kissing Lloyds ass and letting him run kids programs and shit. If going on about it ('hating' as you call it) helps even a tiny bit toward stopping Lloyd, DJ Jackson and company from teaching children isn't a good fucking cause I don't know what is!!!!

when all is said and done the hate towards Lloyd is warranted. Some people may not even be aware of the situation (new guys to the sport). So all the while the team exists there will be people about to make sure people are reminded of the stuff that has gone on.
Don't try to make out like all I ever do is hate on Lloyd on here is all I am saying. Of course if the opportunity arises I take it to talk some shit on him. It literally blows my mind the guy is still in business.

Read this yesterday. Not sure how much good this can do. Those who follow his cult at this point is going to stay in his cult. We have enough info for us to determine he's a bad person. Those who wanted out ended up leaving. Those who wanted to stay, stayed. I'm not sure about the legalities behind a potential competition ban, but since he seems to be sue happy, I could imagine that if any tourney were to ban him or his team, he'd likely sue.

I agree that a ban would be a good idea, but why would they ban him? For "alleged" crimes which he and his students were acquitted. The one person who was convicted "paid his dues to society." That could be seen as discrimination not letting them compete. Could IBJJF win the suit based on the fact that business can refuse service to whomever they want? Sure. Do they even want to go to court? Doubt it.

So, unfortunately these guys will be around as long as this guy is able to manipulate new and old converts to his cult. The worse that can happen is they're hated by the community....and that's pretty much the case already. And Lloyd, being a master manipulator will just spin it into some martyrdom complex and label the world as haters. It's a lose lose situation for everyone.

The importance of the article is that it's target audience is OUTSIDE of the grappling community. I hope that every parent that is looking to sign up their kid, every potential fighter looking for a gym and every potential sponsor sees this article. The jiu jitsu community is good at self-regulating to a degree. This article helps get the word out to those not already in the "loop".

I doubt he could sue the IBJJF and win because it's a private organization. They really can do whatever they want. I know promoters that have had backlash against them for using TLI teammembers in their superfights. Brands are backing away from sponsoring the remaining TLI people. So articles like this help cut off his income sources. Lloyd doesn't care about personal attacks I don't think. I mean the guy has murals of himself painted in his basement. He does care if people mess with his money. The days of his big consulting checks will be dying out. It's bad business to be associated with him. Just my two cents.

Ah you know, I never even bothered to check the source. I just assumed it was a jiu jitsu publication. Damn. Well then, this is great for the general public to be aware of.

I also doubt he can win a suit. Doesn't mean he can't file one. Doesn't mean the IBJJF wants to deal with one.

But since our community IS good at self regulating, I agree with you. He can't run from that million dollar IRS problem. And his current money is gonna keep drying up as time goes on.
