If cora has never wrestled before...practice sprawling, guillotoines or flying kung fu (off of a shot) and jumping guard. I like to control wrestlers in guard or lockdown An attack subs...make them make mistakes an look to sweep or advance my position.
Here is one of my matches against a stud wrestler. I lost on points but has always trying to attack. Maybe you can glean something useful from the match!
Here is a match I won against a very good wrestler and two time pan am champion. My strategy against wrestlers is to always wrap up their neck ASAP! I know I'm not going to win a takedown battle with them so I try to sprawl, wrap their neck, or if all else fails at least pull guard with an overhook so I can immediately attack. I'll show that in the next video I post!
Here is the last match I have on video of me going against a good wrestler. This guy was one of the best wrestlers in the state in high school and he is now a wrestling coach. When he took me down I immediately secured an overhook and started attack from the rubber guard.
Learn to wrestle. Learn to catch submissions in the transition, e.g. omaplata's of single legs, front headlock to anacondas, darce's, guillotines, go behinds to back takes, kimura's to defend the single leg etc
Here is an example of a match gabby had against a stud wrestler\mma fighter who was maybe twice as strong as her (literally) and maybe 10-15 lbs. heavier.
In the begining gabby quickly jumps guard and attacks...about halfway through she loses her temper and decides to wrestle the girl and it doesnt go well...lol. Fortunately she was able to get back to a good position and attack the legs. This video should serve as a good example of what happens when you play to your opponents strengths (in this case wrestling) and let ego get in the way. Luckily for Gabby she has a ton of heart and when she finally settled down she was able to find the sub she was looking for (leg lock).
For Cora....shes not going to learn to out wrestle and bigger stronger more athletic male wrestler in one month....hell make that one year...lol. If you have ever wrestled or gone to a wrestling practice you know what I'm talking about. My advice would be for her to get to her guard as quickly as possible and look to submit from there using her RG, triangles etc. or get to lockdown (pull half) if she has game there. Also straight ankle locks can be very sneaky at that level...maybe not a go to but if shes down big on points it should be an option.
If they shoot a double and I know they're gonna get it, I start looking for the omoplata immediately. Fall on your hip instead of your back and try to get as far down the path as possible before they realize it's a trap. You gotta think "offense" instead of "guard."
If they shoot a single look for the marcelotine or the Kimura.

good point brandon...thats why i mentioned guillotoines and flying kung fu in my first post. I use those often when i know Im getting taken down and I usually start the transition in mid air as the takedown is happening. On a single I always attack the neck or jump a kimura on the inside arm..they are forced to defend at that point. Great advice...
Become a better wrestler than the one your trying to beat.
I'm sorry but in just one month, you are not going to learn to out wrestle somebody who has been doing it for two years. Work on what you know best, that will be you best gains in a month.
