Solutions to what? I don't see a problem. Belts are subjective, based on the instructor for a variety of reasons. Generally the only people that have issues are those that don't have them.

So their rank is based off of someones opinion. Thats creating issues.

As long as that opinion belongs to a legit instructor with legit lineage I don't see any problems. So some blue belts are better than other blue belts. Who cares. The same could be said for any rank in any martial art.

I have a better idea: everyone gets dealt five cards, if you tap them you get to go through their hand and take any card you want and give them any card you want from your hand. At the end of the night the best hand wins. No wait, that's the bjj poker game we play, much more fun than trading belts.

I thought your idea of trading belts was ridiculous but I get what trying to get at. Belts are dumb. I really wanna compete at higher levels but I'm not allowed to because I haven't trained long enough. Belts are all politics :'( wahhhhhhhhhhh

Ahhhh! Finally a moment for a Chuck Norris quote: "What does a belt do for you in a fight? Keep your pants up!" or something along those lines

On a side note an old Soviet Naval Air Marine taught me tricks on how to turn your regular dress belt into a weapon that you swing like Arnis Sticks and can also be used effectively to hog-tie an enemy.
