Holiday Training

I'm going out to LA December 26 thru January 4 and I have noticed that a lot of gyms are closed for a majority of that time for the holidays. In Chicago we only close for Thanksgiving, Christmas eve and Christmas day. Even then we still had an early open mat on Thanksgiving. My vacation training is thrown off since these gyms are closed for new years eve and new years day!

What holidays do your gyms close for?

Most of the gyms I train at close for Christmas New Years July 4th and THanksgiving, and some will vary for Columbus Day Easter Veterans Good Friday Memorial Labor...

We are already closed! Last class was a couple of weeks ago with classes commencing middle of January. Typically it's about a 5 - 6 week break over Christmas.

That is a long ass break. I was gone for a couple weeks and thought I was going to have to jump someone to get some rolling in.

Even if we don't have official class on holidays, there's usually an open mat. That's why I can't understand why other schools completely close. I guess I'm spoiled here at 10P Chicago!
