People tend to use quotes to fit whatever situation they are facing. It's easy to say that's not what the person who originally said it meant, but opening your mind to find new truths to those words can be a source of tremendous growth and learning. The universe doesn't have directions, there is no up or down, right or left. There is only perception.

I feel like there's a point that Im not getting here?

People tend to use quotes to fit whatever situation they are facing.
    True.

re: tesla? everything is easy to say, harder to demonstrate as true. but no one has said that here about this tesla quote so?
but opening your mind to find new truths to those words can be a source of tremendous growth and learning.
You mean a misinterpreted a quote can still lead to growth and learning? Seems true. What are the truths?
The universe doesn't have directions, there is no up or down, right or left . There is only perception.
Yeah up, down, right, left are relative terms so they are based on perception. Doesn't seem profound to me.

I didn't mean it in any kind of argumentative way. Just a thought I had while reading some of the posts. I don't guess it is very profound lol

I've also played guitar forever… and I don't follow this at all. If I detune my guitar down a quarter step, half step or even two whole steps that has no effect on the distance between the notes on the fretboard. I can play a major scale or minor scale from the same position at 432 or 440 and it will still be a major or minor scale just at a different pitch. What am I missing?

And do you trust your sense perception? If I underhook you on your left side the universe will not allow you to whizzer me on your right will it?

You would have to read the linked articles in the thread to understand, Have you done that?

It has to so with intervals and musical temperament.
Im sure you'll understand if you look into it. Not all systems divided the notes 100 cent apart like guitars are setup for. (equal temperament)

The concept of this entire 432 A, thing is based on is not just tuning down but a different way of dividing the musical scale. If you just tune down to A=432 you are still playing in equal temperament not "just intonation" aka Pythagorean. Fixed fret instruments cant do it.
