As you may have noticed, I didn’t post anything on here or on my Facebook regarding warrior of the year. Some of my teammates and other forum members did (during and after) and I thank you for that! I wanted you to know that it isn’t that I don’t appreciate it, it just really isn’t my style 
In fact, NWOTY is the first popular vote award/thing I have ever won barring the occasional club office that no one wanted back in school. I really appreciate that guys.
I would like to give another thank you to everyone who supported me in anyway in 2013 including:
My parents for building an EPIC facility for 10th Planet Beaumont with my dad doing much of the labor himself.
Cade Nelson for opening his home to me for weeks/month at a time including when he didn’t know me that well, loaning me a vehicle, make several trips out to our hotbox and much, much more.
Scott Ray, Brandon Patrick, Brent Costo, Wesley Hoffer and Chelsea Willis who all made contributions without which it would have been very difficult for our hotbox to survive in the early days. I truly, truly appreciate all of you and have not forgotten your individual contributions, even the ones no one knows about. Seriously, remove just one of you and I don’t know if our school/I would have made it to today…
All of the BJJ community for transforming my life and everyone I’ve ever trained with, especially those who choose to learn from me before I had a list of credentials.
And everyone who voted for me for NWOTY or had something positive to say about any of my matches all year. You guys are the best!!! Thanks again!!!
P.S. Congrats again to Denny and 10th Planet San Fran for moon of the year. Having been there, I can say its most definitely deserved
