Low Cost, Low Risk Zog Seminars in 2014 ;)

Just to put a little perspective on costs. I live in Carbondale Il, a small university town. My gym contacted Rener Gracie to come out and do a bully seminar. He told us it would cost $6000 plus expenses. While I have no doubt it would be a great seminar, you are paying more for the Gracie name then you are the actually learning experience.

If you have an issue with the rate, don't sign up and don't inquire about them. I don't know how culture became relevant in this. If you are on this forum even for a day, you know Zog, you know Denny, you know Epstein, you know Bollinger, you know Mccaghren, you know Ho, and you know mother fucking Slick Rick and that is who he is marketing too. Us, 10th Planet and this is our culture. It all works by referral system, this is more about teaching and being able to share knowledge in areas he doesn't have time to frequent more than making money. Eddie threw out a ball park number, its not the systems set in stone guideline to holding seminars. A brown bel? Are you kidding me? Just because the members of your club don't know the names of our instructors and we don't know the names of yours doesn't diminish for a second the accomplishments they have all done. I mean it is 2014, if you don't know an instructor or his credentials just Google it, you are going to be pretty shocked when you see the laundry list of shit Coach Zog has accomplished as a "brown belt."

For the record, I teach just as many seminars at non-10th Planet Schools as I do affialites and hotboxes. I was teaching seminars before I was even involved in 10th Planet, I was also constistently a core and featured instuctor at the Spirit of the Eagle international Judo training camp for a period of about 8 years. So its not just within our community. The seminar I'm teaching this coming weekend has nothing to do with 10th Planet and they have no outward interest in 10th Planet at all (It's my job to go in there and change that,and I assure you there will be 10th planet fans by the time im done) they are interested in my Judo and Sambo.

One of the main reasons for the tight knit community we have up north is that a large number of the guys I listed are black belts under Mestre Sylvio Behring / Shah Franco. I am more than welcome to train in about 10 different spots without ever having to worry about paying a drop in fee. I know I could drop in at Stew's at anytime and be welcomed like family because of my relationship with Monkey and Troop. It was the community itself that helped me fall so deeply in love with bjj/grappling.

Zog, I would make the trip out to Peterborough for a seminar if Stew were to host you
