My dad got called late Friday and was asked if I would take a Muay Thai match downstate. My snowboarding trip had been cancelled because of rain so I told my dad I wanted it.
The guy they matched me with was 19 years old 6'2 and 227 pounds. I got there and weighed in fully dressed with sneakers at 202 pounds. Felt great. I won unanimous decision. Felt good and really didn't get touched. I dumped him a couple times and certainly had him rocked more than once. He was built like an offensive tackle for the NY Giants. I really wanted a KO but sanctioning body required us to wear headgear. He had a big padded fiberglass chin protector thing on his that didn't help. I guess it was illegal but his head was so big they didn't have another to fit him. Lol. So my corner agreed to let him wear it. Pretty tough knocking someone out with 12oz boxing gloves and padded headgear. But I really think that big ass reinforced chin protector saved him a couple times.
I wish I could figure out how to share my video in a secure way. My coaches don't allow me to post on line anymore. The same rule applies to our whole fight team. I really would like Eddie and some other guys to see how far I have come in the last year or so since I haven't been able to post. Anyone have any ideas?
