Healthy meals to make in bulk

I'm looking for some food/recipe ideas that I could use to make in large quantities, so as to have dinners throughout the week.

Since my training has me at the gym on average about 15 hours a week, the lady and I try to make meals in large quantities on either Sunday or Monday, so i don't have to come home at 9pm and cook. In the past we've made soups and chilli's, but I'm looking for something healthier than chilli.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I use to cook in bulk, due to a somewhat similar schedule (school, studying and training) and I'm actually going back to it. I would always get a grip of steak and chicken, marinate each for 2-3 days, then grill it all up. I would do this twice a week, so I always had meat on standby. That's when I was trying to bulk up though, and it definitely worked, the best I ever grew. Now I'm going for leaner and cleaner, so I got a rice steamer (which are dope btw), marinate some good thinly sliced quality steaks, and yeah, serve it with rice. Lean and tasty. Your pre-cooked chicken is great over salad, or make some dank Carne Asada tacos. Just having some quality tasty meat ready expedites the preparation process. Marinating for at least 24 hours is key, too.

I really want to get into making Thai dishes; it's so frickin' good, and mad lean and usually healthy.

    Good luck.

Boil and shred chicken, yams, casseroles, rice, quinoa, etc. Carbs are easiest to manage and last longest. Also buy tons of fruit and cut it all at once. A slow cooker and pressure cooker have been my best friends lately

I'd second slow cooking. I like shin of beef best (has a lot of connective tissue which melts away during cooking). You can just brown it with some onions, then throw it in the slow cooker with a load of carrots and parsnips (or other root vegetables) and some liquid (stock + wine/beer + maybe tomatoes) and come back in 4-8 hours depending on the heat setting and size of chunks of meat.

That way you have meat and some vegetables done in one pot. It'll work with any cheap cut of meat so it doesn't matter too much what you can get your hands on.

These are all good ideas. I think you should re-visit chili as well, though. You can go with all kinds of different bases and meats. I don't think it gets much healthier than some grass fed beef used to make a big pot of chili. Buying grass fed in bulk is super cost-effective if you have the space.

Check local bbq joints for great homeade marinades close to you.

Taco soup, tortilla soup, lentils... I wish I was a crockpot artist. I'm not. :-/ got a good taco soup recipe if you want it..I haven't wrote the tortilla soup down yet. Oh and the taco soup is meatless. Tortilla soup has chicken in it.

It's best to consume your food as fresh as possible, hard but most effective IMO
