Everything you do in 10th Planet No Gi can be executed in Gi. The two key difference with Planet X are:

    1) It will be easier (in some cases) for your opponent to defend No Gi techniques because they can grip either their own Gi or your Gi to block, escape, or in most cases simply stall. So learning to counter that is important as higher levels.

    2) There are naturally more variations of 10th Planet techniques in the Gi that would allow you to expand the 10th Planet system, just like Magnus demonstrates

I train both Gi and No Gi and I very rarely ever grip my opponent's Gi. I'm essentially executing the 10th Planet system as-is whether I am rolling with or without the Gi. I feel more confident following the 10th Planet/Planet X curriculum all the time rather than trying to have two different BJJ styles. I prefer No Gi, and training this way allows me to get maximum training/rolling time at the gym and keep my 10P game on-point.

so planet x isnt exactly 10th planet. its a lot more complex than just trying no gi moves on them. magnus' hlf guard game especially his electric chair is amazing and he gets it from all over the place. in gi he adds a lot more details in class and incorporates gi grips and all that jazz as well as the core essentials of that 10th planet clinch game. hes also (correct me if im wrong) a first degree black belt under Duda who is one of DLR's top black belts from brasil.

when i came over to train with him the first night he destroyed me over and over, then taught me the technique he was using and then destroyed me with it some more. it was like watching a movie the second time, i knew what was coming but i just had to sit and watch it.

he did say he was going to be posting more videos up but he injured his arm last year and has had surgery. if you ever want to really get into 10th planet in the gi, look into training with him for a month or two. your game will explode. i only had a week and i regret not making it longer.

    stockholm is really nice aswell

I think submissions 101 does this to some extent? They have a youtube with a lot of videos and the instructor is trained under eddie bravo but also has some other bjj training as well

I train in the gi more often than not and a big portion of my game is 10th PJJ! A lot of the techniques, especially rubber guard, work even better for me in the gi because I have so much more traction and grip!
