I know that traditionally you sit up, wrap the far arm or the neck, and lean forward in order to finish the omoplata. I'm wondering though if there's been any successful scientists with finishing variations on the omo. Maybe a type of roll or some grip which helps, anything.
The reason I bring this up is because I'm short. Short arms as well as legs. So naturally I have troubles trying submit bigger people with some techniques. When I'm in jiu claw, even when I'm trying my best to hold them in place with my arm across their back or hips, I pretty much always have to settle for the sweep due to my inability to stop the roll of the guy.
Sweeps are great. I love sweeps. But finishing dudes when I have them in jiu claw would be way better.
