do any of you guys bet on ufc fights?

i'm not much of a gambling man, but i'm really thinking about betting on ronda rousey against sara mcmann.

after seeing how many holes mcmann has in her bjj game, i'm starting to think rousey has the definite edge in this fight. i'm not gonna lie, those bjjscout videos played a role in making my decision.

anyways, if you have bet on any fights, what were the fights you bet on and what did you win/lose?

yeah I do. Every now and then. Usually just the really big cards tbh. I never bet much and I always do accumulators. I find the returns on betting on individual fights arent that great. I have done pretty well with accumulators though. Usually just pick 5 fights or so rather than a whole card.

The deeper you get into this sport (to me at least) the more I see how you can never tell who is going to win an Mma fight. I have been tooled by guys I should crush. I've also completely embarrassed some people that I really should never be able to touch. I think there's too many unpredictable variables. The lucky punch, the bad decision, the accidental injury, the eye poke or groin strike you never recover from.

Then we get into stylistic matchups and its a whole world of what ifs. And unless you know the guy (trained with or fought him before) then nobody really knows. Even If they know each other, then only those 2 really know how they match up. Just because a guy is twice as good on paper in every category, doesn't mean he's got the advantage. Certain styles just don't work we'll or work great against other styles. Kinda like Pokemon, anyone played Pokemon? Use the badass water Pokemon against a weak plant Pokemon, see how you fair "That's not very effective". Lol! Thing is its not that cut and dry with styles in Mma.

I took forever to say this: I never bet on fights anymore. Bad odds AND they are inaccurate.
