I've seen guys use this counter. Building tension in the hips is a great way to throw them off base. As far as the marce is concerned, idk if it would happen here. There would be the whole mounting issue though. In order to build that tension you need to get close, but if he has to let go to release the tension and mount, at least you aren't in the darce anymore.
What do you think about people that step over to mount to finish the
darce? A lot of times, going flat helps them with the step over. I agree going flat is better than staying on your side if you're already in the choke, because usually people don't mount to finish unless they're pretty strong darcers. But if they can step over that's probably the strongest
darce finish out there. Judt food for thought.
