Do you train in other martial arts to supplement your jiu jitsu game?

I had an awesome time talking to Stephan Kesting about training in multiple martial arts to compliment his jiu jitsu game. I'm wondering how many of you formally train in a martial art outside of your "main" martial art. So do you go to a judo class if you're a jiu jitsu person? If you're a wrestler do you take a class in sambo? You get the point. I'm sure we all play with techniques from other arts from time to time but how many of you FORMALLY train in another art? For the 10th Planeteers, how many of you also formally train in the gi?

If you're interested in the interview with Stephan you can find it here

I do this with many things. When I cannot go shooting (rifle) I go golfing. When I can't go golfing, I go shooting
Swimming and yoga, BJJ and chess, running and swimming, skiing and jj... they all help one another, and help evolve me.

Just like everyone else, my JJ is specific to me. I learn things from everyone else, but ultimately, my JJ is mine.
Look at those wild/cool kids in 10P Vista. They proved that one discipline can easy evolved into another.

    Judo!!!!!!!!!!

Also, my coach started teaching me Karate a few weeks ago. I can already tell it's going to help my leg strength, my balance, and my hip movement.

I will still occasionally throw on my armor and go get beat on with rattan swords, and Kali blade work will always be near to my heart. As far as grappling cross training, I try to find stylistically different grapplers to roll with, but I use my game and don't try to play their style.

I love Strongman workouts and Judo, I read a lot of Catch Wrestling too which is great for a No-gi game the Snake Pit, Billy Robinson and Gene Lebell are amazing. This all supplements my loves for martial arts as well as pro-wrestling.

I believe all combat improves your combat. Some principles are more easily understood from a different perspective. Pressure, spacing, etc... Everything is Jiu Jitsu. Even basketball has turned into Jiu Jitsu, Though, I think I have to quit basketball now
