When I did Judo I don't think my instructor ever learned my name, because he only referred to me as Blue Gi. When I first started Judo, I used my blue BJJ gi until I ordered a white Judo gi, but even after switching gi's the name stuck.
No nicknames at 10P yet, although I'm still wearing those same blue bjj gi pants until my spats and shorts arrive, haha
Brett "The Spyder" Sbardella - Little league baseball lol (seriously). Just so happens to apply perfectly to my style.
When I was young people called me Monkey, it kinda faded away until I started wrestling and one of the guys said I looked like a spider monkey on the mat, now everyone I train with calls me Monkey. My kids are known as Mini Monkey and Baby Monkey.
Im the goat herder. Why? cause goat herder gonna herd.
A guy in eddies class was saying my name wrong on purpose (he was the very rich douchie type) eventually he came to hate me cause i hurt his arm (his fault not mine ) so the name stuck cause a guy who hated me gave it to me. And im a fuckin moron so its like calling a fat guy skinny. The others probably gave themselfs nicknames which is automatic fail that goes for Anyone who nicknames themselves . Dont do it
I got my nickname from someone at ( Sitan Gym) the first gym I started teaching at. I used to wear some green wrestlers head gear and I was always on his back. He said he couldn't shake me off like Yoda hanging on Luke, while he was training flipping around that swamp. It's also been said by my students that I calm down heated situations with wisdom / Jedi mind tricks, instead of fighting.. So he called me Yoda and it stuck.
