She ask me to help her get in shape. She is about 5'5 220lbs. Sorry this is not bjj question. She wants me to personal train her. Does anyone have advice on good excercizes i can have her do?

Ok so mild cardio and muscular endurance. Low to no impact.

I thought starting with mild cardio was a thing I would have her do. What are some good low impact excercises for muscular endurance? I know lots of excercises but i do exposive excersises to help with bjj and i know those would not be good for her.

My mom is 60 and I started getting her into a kick boxing workout last year. She had a blast. I showed her basic boxing combinations, had her do some kicks and knees. Then I even threw in some modified burpees in between sets. she had a lot of fun doing it, broke the monotony for her, she's usually a treadmill person.

I just re read your op and see that she is 220 lbs. I think anything to get her working up a sweat would be good, but something that's gonna be fun and keep her motivated.

First dude, before I did anything I would make sure she has clearance from her doctor. She sounds like she can be a ticking time bomb. She doesn't need to do anything but light cardio for a very long time. Shes not gonna burn that many calories until she gets that heart strengthened up anyway. She needs to be most concerned with calories and diet at this point. The most help you can do with her is to help her put together a good meal plan and coach/motivate her to stick to it.

Would she be open to going and watching a jitsu or striking class at least (after she has doctor clearance?). I personally would try to get her to try a class or two, see if she gets hooked. This way u can still train but sort of keep her under ur wing in class and allow her a workout (while learning how to defend herself).

Just my two cents :-| ....

Damn man, u just made me reconsider this for real. It would be nice to make some extra money but ur right i should tell her to get a clearance from her dr first. I have seen two many people die in my life to see another. I seen my uncle die from a heart attack just last summer when we were doing landscaping.
