    Meat hook/stock questions

The Stock really intrigues me and I'd like to get more proficient at it. Hardest part, of course seems to be getting the arm over knee to hoist it over the foot. Any suggestions or is this just a battle for everyone

Are you talking about trying to get into the meat hook position?

It's very hard, nearly impossible to force that position on someone good. it usually comes off a rookie mistake.

invisible meat collar!! I posted a vid a while back of one of my guys, who likes meat hook to stocks, but I shut him down, like Scott said. He then started crossing his feet, like the invisible collar. This puts my free arm toward center line and feels like he is going armbar, like muddy waters from meat hook, I pull my arm up to defend and he just keeps it pushing until my arm is up over my head, and in goes his foot. If he is tight, I cannot defend it yet, and I know it is coming. I took the video of my youtube, but still have in on my computer I think. Maybe if I have time this weekend I'll upload it and PM you the link. How flexible are you??

If you are playing with punches, the Stocks is relatively easy to get to from the Meathook.

    Without punches... good luck.

    My opinion.

I love the stock and it's something I look for whenever I'm in rubber guard. I think it may be the single most painful submission i know.

Sean Bollinger suggested that once you have a meat hook in, use your free hand to underhook the arm you are attacking and pull that arm over your foot. Once the foot is locked in, place your meat hook hand on top of the elbow you are attacking. And push slightly downward. The other hand should move to the wrist of the arm you are attacking. Push your foot upward to increase the torque. Push the wrist you are controlling backward, very slowly.

    Victory dance optional.

Can you make a video and show us how you're getting there? I'm too dumb for comprehension via reading.

Thanks you. Did he have any advice on getting the arm over the foot?
