I'm a huge Aoki fan, and an even bigger fan of flying submissions. While I have hit this once live, it's in the super low percentage (Mystical Unicorn) category.

Badass stuff, Marcelo did one of these from downed guard on mike van Arsdale in adcc I think.

Marcelo teaches this on his video set as well. Although, he leaves the hook on the inside of the leg rather than the outside.

Never seen the Marcelo version, but would love to see it. My original version looked like Superfly Snuka off the top rope, lol. I happened to find a guy who refined the technique and that's basically what I was sharing in the video. Thanks for the comments.

There are some variations and finer details to this which you don't see in the video. The one piece of advice I can give you is this. Transferring to the RNC immediately can be a task. If you are having trouble, hit the short choke first. It's much easier in transition and will usually finish the technique. If not, then transfer from the short choke to RNC.
