    Problem!

I didn't know where to put my question so I ended up putting it here!
I have problem with rubber guard! When I'm in crackhead control the opponent stands up and pulls himself backwards and it is nearly impossible to do armbar when he is standing. So what should I do?

How do you prevent him standing up?

Yeah, just keep working reps and eventually you'll be really strong in that position. Main thing is to just try to keep them down so you can work the subs. If they stand up and you're having a hard time keeping hold of them, I would suggest just letting go and maybe attack the legs like I do but..to each his own. But don't give up on trying to use it, a lot of guys won't try to stand up cause they know it's a big waste of energy.

Basically, if you have one guy who is busting out of your Crackhead control, don't use crackhead control on him. Work on perfecting it on guys you can work it on easily and then revisit it on the dude you're having trouble with.

When someone tries to stand up, put your foot in his hip. He needs his hips to stand, so if you keep pressure on his hip you are taking away his center of balance. Also when you do that, remember to keep your knees in tight. Don't let your knees get loose.

You're probably not high enough. If you're high enough, theoretically your weight would be too top heavy for him to stand up or else he would be picking you up off of the mat.

When people can bust out of my crackhead control it is usually because I am too far underneath them, my forearm is over stressed, they're squared up with me, and they just shove off and posture out.

You can hook his leg if he stand up. Not around the outside, hook through the inside. Or you can pick his ankle.

Attack the legs as in when he stands up, work your open guard, look for leglocks, De La Riva guard, etc.
