Do you have the Mastering the Twister DVD? That really helped me in terms of seeing all the transitions come to life (the book is awesome, but for me at least I need to see it, and then compliment with the notes). Of course, it does take practice and you do need to drill it first to get the motion, and then second with a resisting partner so you can feel the different roadblocks/speed bumps. Try to spend time not only working the twister roll from SC but also when opponent is on all fours (the Muffle and Dodge really helped me with getting the Twister roll, the half guard roll I don't do that much but even then I felt improvement after watching the dvd several times).
Don't give up, keep working on adding whatever 10pjj you can along with the standard BJJ basics!

Yep. Back when I was first playing with it based on observation, I'd roll them too hard and roll them straight to their knees. For the back take I had to learn to either roll them slower or be prepared to sit up and take the back. For the truck I needed to learn about grabbing the toes.
lol i know, but its not possible right now. If I thought it only takes 8 times I would be a bit stupid lol
I have the twister DVD and even with that I suck. But I'll try to hold the feet better next time. I thought the twister roll was only from the turtle position, the other guy in Tuttle of course, like in the twister book. Rolling forward seems to work better then pulling them towards you, there's less resistance in my experience but seems harder not to lose my trick position. I hope it goes well today damit! Maybe on a noob it will work.
