I found that averaging 5x5 min rounds is a nice round-about estimate. It's a balance of keeping you thirsty to roll more, while not burning yourself out. 5x5=25, so 3x8's is also doable. Sometimes I'll do 6x8 min rounds, or 10x5 min rounds, while other times I'll have only 3x3min rounds. In the end, I've seen it average out to keeping a consistent 25 minutes of hard rolling per night.
You'll have guys/gals that roll twice a day or 3x a day, but you gotta have money for that type of effort. More training equates to more food intake, and more wear and tear on the body. I savor grappling like fine wine, while others may want to do shots to the head, everyday. There's a trade-off in either case.
