For me, RG is another path to try from full guard. If someone's posture seems breakable, and my position feels right, I'll pull it, and then I try really hard not to let them out. But if someone is posturing hard or trying a standing pass, I'll go to shield, deep half, de la riva, etc. So I'd say it's like 15% of my closed guard game in a gi, 30% no-gi.
